Assistant/Associate Professor of Game Design & Digital Media (Online Program) - College
of the Arts

LOCATION: West Palm Beach Campus
SUMMARY: Online teaching will include interdisciplinary courses that integrate and draw upon
both pedagogical and professional experience. The normal teaching load is four courses
each semester. This position reports to the Chair of the Department of Visual and
Media Arts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Advising, developing, and delivering online courses, completing creative activities
such as research, publication, and presentation
- Mentoring students in game design, interactive arts, entertainment, computer science,
or a related field
- Commitment to the Christian faith
- Assist in the students’ professional and spiritual growth
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated expertise in game and interaction design, along with digital media as
it applies to game design, web development, UX/UI, mobile app design/prototype, creative
coding, 3D modeling, and animation
- The ability to teach and manage game design from concept through to final product
- Technical proficiency in and the ability to teach a wide range of software such as
Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema 4D, Maya, Unity, Unity and Unreal game engines, Blender,
Oculus, Vive, and familiarity with programming languages C#, C++ a are required
- Ability to maintain professional proficiencies in the latest game design and digital
media technologies
- Successful track record of online course development and instruction
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with students, faculty and administrators
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree in Game Design with commensurate professional experience. Three plus
(3+) years teaching at the university level and field experience in game design and
digital media as evidenced by a portfolio of recent work.
