Dr. Hardy completed a pharmacy practice residency in community care with The Ohio State University School of Pharmacy and the Columbus Neighborhood Health Centers, Inc. in Columbus Ohio.  Following this, she served on the faculty of Northeastern University School of Pharmacy in Boston, Massachusetts from 2002-2008.  Dr. Hardy joined Chicago State University College of Pharmacy in 2008 as an assistant professor.  In these roles, Dr. Hardy’s clinical practices focused on providing ambulatory care services in underserved communities. She has experience in establishing clinical pharmacy services in related to anticoagulation and chronic disease state management.  In 2015, Dr. Hardy was appointed Chair of Pharmacy Practice at Chicago State University College of Pharmacy.  Dr. Hardy’s research interests include integrating culturally competent approaches to patient care, examining the role of pharmacists in reducing health disparities and exploring the role of assessment in advancing student learning. Dr. Hardy has spoken at the local, state, and national levels.  Dr. Hardy has published in the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education, the Journal of Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutics, and Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning.  Dr. Hardy is also the editor of the book Patient Assessment in Pharmacy: A Culturally Competent Approach.
