Master of Science, Global Development Admission Requirements: 

  1. Earn a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution. 
  2. Achieve cumulative undergraduate minimum GPA of 2.75 or above on a 4.0 scale. 
  3. One undergraduate course in economics.
  4. Submit:
  • A completed online application and $50 nonrefundable fee (Click on the drop-down arrow to select the Graduate application.)
  • Official transcript from college/university where bachelor's degree was conferred and from college/university where prerequisite courses were taken 
  • Two confidential recommendations
  • A statement of intent describing your reasons for applying to the program in Global Development. This statement should include any international experience you have, your preference for concentration of study, and your career aspirations after graduation. 
  • Informed consent form. 
  • For students seeking entry from a country where English is not the primary language, a minimum TOEFL score of 79 or IELTS score of 6.5 is required. 
  1. Faculty Interview - Once candidates submit all required documents, the complete application is review by the Graduate Admissions Committee to determine invitations for an interview. Interviews may be conducted via Skype or telephone call.

Admissions Decision and Notification:

Applicants will be notified in writing of the Graduate Admissions Committee's decision within two weeks after completing the interview. To secure a spot in the program, accepted students must, no later than 30 days before classes begin, submit:

  • A non-refundable $100 deposit, which is applied to tuition upon enrollment

The estimated tuition for the entire Master of Science in Global Development is $24,960*. This includes tuition for 43 credit hours ($560/credit) and the Resource Fee ($220/semester). This is based on the two-year, full-time accelerated degree plan.

Financial Aid

Palm Beach Atlantic makes every effort to offer financial assistance through a variety of programs (federal and institutional) to deserving students. Primary funding for graduate study is provided on the basis of demonstrated financial need in the form of work study awards and student loans. Students must apply for financial aid each year by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Assistance (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov
