West Palm Beach

Master of Divinity/ Master of Business Administration

Joint Degree

Earn a joint Master’s in Divinity and MBA from PBA University

Being on the clergy leadership team of most churches today requires more than knowing the Word. It requires expertise in how the church fits into the broader community; and how, while sticking to its faith principles, it handles often complex business issues so that it can remain economically viable.

This Palm Beach Atlantic University program helps prepare you to serve your church at a higher level as an executive or administrative minister for a church or para-church organization.

At PBA, we offer guidance that focuses on biblical, historical,
theological and practical studies. Combined with our thriving community connections, we help you develop skills to reach your potential.

Our program delivers specific benefits such as:

  • 82 graduate credits that consist of 52 credits of M. Div., 27 credits of MBA and one three-credit integrated course – see degree plan****
  • Advanced training that builds on your solid undergraduate preparation in theology and ministry by providing graduate-level training held to a high academic standard – no biblical or ministerial introductory or survey courses
  • An on-going, substantive 10 –15 hours/week apprenticeship, under the direct supervision of  a practicing minister
  • Two entry points: fall (August) and spring (January) with application deadlines of August 1 and December 1.

[NOTE: The program requires prerequisite course work in ministry (24 credits) and business (12 credits).]
